A You guessed it: The fake rocks, or “landscape features,” are hiding rat bait, according to Jeff Sandgrund, director of park operations at the Madison Square Park Conservancy. “Being that we have a huge volume of people in the park…we inevitably have some issues with what we like to call our ‘friends,’” Sandgrund says. Apparently, rodents love the Shake Shack just as much as humans do.
